Local Artist Spotlight: Eight29Design

A few weeks ago, I participated in my first Art Fair; it was a GREAT experience and I’ll tell ya all about it soon! Today, I want to introduce you to a talented local artist I met at the Market; Page of Eight29Design.

Like so many of the talented makers I know, Page is a work from home mom. With the support of her husband, she creates hand painted signs from reclaimed wood. Her signs are well crafted and on trend. I love that many of the signs she paints are inspired by local life here in Michigan.

At the Market, I purchased this sweet sign for Ethan’s nursery -

It fits into this gallery perfectly! Modern Baby Boy Nursery Art Gallery DIY tips

Eight29Design also made this great little October 31 sign. It is a beautiful addition to our Halloween mantle!Halloween Mantle with Framed Art and fresh twigs

The local makers community here in Michigan is amazing; so supportive and encouraging! I was thrilled and honored when Page asked me to make custom buntings for her Eight29Design tent and a one of a kind vendors apron for her to wear at her shows. Here’s a peek at the custom pieces I created for her:

I’m thinking of wearing my vendors apron every day, for real. This mumma could use the extra pockets to tote around all the stuff my crew needs/constantly misplaces… would that be too much like a fanny pack?

Check out the Eight29Design shop at Etsy  //  Like ‘em on Facebook for upcoming show dates and please, Tell Page how awesome her work is! Be sure to mention that  Daydream Believers sent ya!
