THE TRENDSETTER

I am happy to share a new pattern releasing TODAY by Cassie from Little Lizard King: The Trendsetter.
The Trendsetter gives directions for creating FOUR different styles; from formal-fancy to everyday-casual.
I have to tell y’all; I have had the privilege of testing dozens of patterns and I have *NEVER* seen a testers group create as many AMAZING looks as I have seen with The Trendsetter! This pattern is a gem!

During testing, I created this sweet set of dresses for my girls…

These girls! They are the BEST of Friends! Lovers of fashion, music, cartoons and coloring.
They are the inspirations behind Daydream Believers and they LOVE a good dress!

As soon as Cassie shared that this new pattern would have a “fancy” version and a “simple” version, I immediately envisioned a sister set. Coordinating dresses that were true to each girls’ unique style.

For Iyla, I followed the “simple dress” directions to create this chic, timeless look. I chose to make two small modifications to the pattern;  creating the wide, color-blocked hem and embellishing the bodice with lace.
For Vivian’s dress I used the “fancy” pattern option. To know Vivian is to know, FANCY was the only option!
This sweet dress features soft fluffy chiffon paired with a gorgeous lace trim. Perfect for formal occasions while still being comfortable and easy to wear; gotta love that!

(Before this shot she told me "Mom, I'm going to sit fancy like this for my photos" –  Ha! Such a doll!)
